This is to remind you that the deadline for uploading your fanwork is one week from tonight, on Wednesday, August 1st, at 11pm MDT (GMT -6). If you don't think you can make this deadline, please email me, isiscolo AT gmail DOT com, and say that you wish to default (you don't need to give a reason), and I'll assign a pinch hitter. If you default but end up finishing your assignment, you are welcome and encouraged to post it to the collection anyway.
Writers: You must upload your completed story to the Sutcliff Swap 2012 AO3 collection by Wednesday, August 1st at 11pm MDT (GMT -6). (Here is an AO3 tutorial). ETA: Make sure you upload it to the subcollection for this year's swap, http://archiveofourown.org/collections/sutcliff_swap2012, not the parent collection http://archiveofourown.org/collections/sutcliff_swap! It must be at least 1000 words and be in one of the fandoms your recipient requested, with the requested character or combination of characters. We are not requiring works to be beta-read, but we recommend it; you can find a list of people willing to beta-read in this post.
Artists: You must email your completed artwork to me by Wednesday, August 1st at 11pm MDT (GMT -6), according to the instructions in this post. It must be in one of the fandoms your recipient requested, with the requested character or combination of characters. I will send you the URL for your anonymously-hosted version by no later than Thursday morning at 11am MDT (that is, 12 hours later). Please post to AO3 by Friday, 11am MDT (5pm GMT; that is, 24 hours after you receive the URL).
You will be able to edit your uploaded fanwork after the deadline. However, the mods will consider you in default (and assign a pinch hitter) if you upload something that is obviously incomplete or fails to fulfill your assignment.
We encourage people to include a paragraph in their author's/artist's notes about permissions for derivative works (remixes, sequels, illustrations, etc.) to facilitate further fun formats for future fests, and how's that for alliteration? If you like, you can copy and adapt the template below:
If you are not comfortable with people creating derivative works based on your fanwork, you do not need to say anything.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact one of the mods: caerfyrddin AT gmail DOT com or isiscolo AT gmail DOT com.
Thanks for participating!
