And of course she has made the Saxons out to be the villains in all the previous books in the series, the barbarians snuffing out the light, so it is hard to make the about-face in our brains that suddenly (in the real world time has passed of course, but we have just gone from (Sword at) Sunset to Dawn (Wind) in one book) the evil invaders are now the pastoral and innocent land-dwellers.
